Inspired by the legendary PCM1704 DAC chip, the R2R 24bit DAC enables digital-to-analogue conversion of signals up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512, while providing sound reproduction with a characteristic analogue sound. A NOS mode is also available, allowing you to enjoy your tracks as close to the original as possible. Transistor amplification The amplification stage of the HE02 is based on BD139 and BD140 transistors for an output power of 4.32 W in 32Ω for the balanced headphone output and 1.28 W in 32Ω for the unbalanced headphone output. In addition, the line output is equipped with an OPA 1612, which provides an output level of 4.5 V balanced and 2.2 V unbalanced. Extended connection options The EH2 also offers more extensive connection options than its predecessor. It has an optical Toslink input, a coaxial input and a USB-C input. The latter is equipped with an XMOS XU316 interface that supports signals up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512. In addition, the EH2 has Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity thanks to the Qualcomm QCC5125 chip, which enables wireless connectivity and ensures excellent quality thanks to support for the high-definition codecs LDAC, aptX, aptX HD and aptX Adaptive.
