The AMP section is a super class A transistor amplifier very similar to the iBasso DX320 MAX amplifier. FPGA Master 2.0 The D16's FPGA Master 2.0 combines iBasso's algorithm achievements of the last three years and is the reason why they have been able to achieve a breakthrough in discrete DAC. 1. When the volume is lowered, the noise is also reduced, which improves the signal-to-noise ratio. 0.96‘ OLED screen + multifunction knob Simple & uncomplicated operation The Nunchaku is equipped with a 0.96’ OLED display and its own rotary encoder. The user can control all functions with the multifunction knob. In addition, the Nunchaku has an Android APP that can be used to make a variety of settings. PORON suspension After numerous trials, iBasso has finally implemented a ‘suspended’ installation using PORON material to suspend the tubes in the housing, thus achieving effective shock absorption and reducing the microphonic effect. Tube selection on the APX555 Manually matching the tubes one by one The manufacturing process for tubes is subject to certain limitations, so there may be small variations in each tube. To ensure that the differences in sound quality between each JAN6418 tube are manageable, the team at iBasso performs a SINAD pairing with the APX555 audio tester before each pair is used in production. Due to the extensive testing process, iBasso is limited to 50 pairs of tubes per day. The aim of all these measures is to ensure the highest quality audio output.

Compared to conventional designs that use a single 3.7V battery, this higher voltage configuration offers a significant advantage in minimising ripple noise typically generated during DC-DC conversion processes, resulting in a purer and more stable power supply. This design enables faithful reproduction of musical nuances and dynamic range, allowing sound details to be fully expressed and significantly outperforming other portable headphone amplifiers. 12V External Power Supply Desktop-Level Performance The PB6 supports an external 12V DC power supply, enabling a voltage boost of 24V. When connected to this external power source, the PB6's output power reaches 2300 mW + 2300 mW at 32 Ω, fully utilising its driving power. High-precision 4-channel volume control NJW1195A For perfectly balanced 4-channel output The PB6 is equipped with a high-precision 4-channel volume control IC – NJW1195A – which allows fine adjustment in 0.5 dB steps. This hardware-based volume control not only enables precise volume control, but also helps to reduce background noise, resulting in a pitch-black background. This design effectively addresses the common problem of channel imbalance at low volumes often associated with conventional carbon potentiometers. PORON suspension damping Suppresses microphonic effects To suppress microphonic effects, all four tubes in the PB6 are suspended with PORON damping material, effectively isolating tube vibrations from the sound quality. In addition, a metal mesh shield is attached to the outside of the tubes to effectively block external electromagnetic interference within specific frequency bands. 3.5 mm single-ended input/output 4.4 mm balanced input/output The PB6 not only offers a 3.5 mm single-ended and a 4.4 mm balanced output, but also supports both 3.5 mm single-ended and 4.4 mm balanced inputs. Charging and battery level indicator When the green light flashes every second, the PB6 is charging. When the green light is steady, the battery is 75% to 100% charged.
