Discrete R2R Architecture and Native DSD Conversion

At the heart of the DR70 is a discrete R2R module that delivers remarkably pure PCM conversion without digital artifacts. For DSD formats, the DR70 features a native 1-bit converter capable of processing DSD64 to DSD512 streams without intermediate conversion to PCM, thereby preserving the integrity of the original signal. This approach ensures a natural soundstage, a wide dynamic range, and the reproduction of the finest details, even in the most demanding recordings.

FPGA & Clock

The FPGA, developed specifically for the DR70, handles signal processing logic, clock management, and noise-free switching between PCM and DSD modes, while the CK-01 femtosecond oscillator reduces jitter to an imperceptible level, thereby improving the accuracy of the stereo image and the depth of the soundstage.

Extensive Connectivity and Integrated Streaming

The DR70 connects seamlessly to all your sources: USB (XMOS XU316): Supports PCM streams up to 32-bit, 768 kHz, and native DSD up to DSD512, as well as DoP64 through DoP256.

Coaxial / Optical: Compatible with PCM streams up to 24-bit, 192 kHz, and DSD DoP64.

Bluetooth 5.0: Integrates the LDAC (24-bit/96 kHz), aptX, AAC, and SBC codecs for high-resolution wireless listening.

Thanks to this versatility, the DR70 can be integrated into a wide variety of configurations, whether in a wired system or a wireless setup.

Analog Outputs and Power Supply

The DR70 offers simultaneous RCA (2 Vrms) and XLR (4 Vrms) outputs, both with fixed levels, for optimal compatibility with active preamplifiers or speakers. The output impedance is approximately 100 Ω, ensuring a stable connection with most devices.

The built-in low-noise power supply is designed to minimize interference, but the DR70 can also be powered by an external 12–18 V DC power supply—for users who wish to further optimize performance.
