Truthear x Crinacle ZERO BLUE 2

Product information "Truthear x Crinacle ZERO BLUE 2"

In-ear headphones with two dynamic drivers

  • Two dynamic drivers (10 mm and 7.8 mm)
  • Redesigned driver
  • DLP 3D-printed housing
  • Newly developed 2-pin silver-plated copper cable

Improved configuration, increased efficiency

Like its predecessors in the ZERO series, the ZERO:BLUE2 also features two dynamic drivers. However, the structure of the 7.8 mm dynamic driver has been modified, with a focus on the mid and high frequencies. This driver utilizes a sophisticated internal magnetic circuit structure that incorporates flexible polyurethane material for the suspension and an LCP (liquid crystal polymer) dome diaphragm. Despite these similarities, the internal design differs significantly from earlier models.

Truthear has achieved a significant breakthrough by increasing the diameter of the magnet for the 7.8-mm driver by approximately 25%. Additionally, we have expanded the dome surface area by about 50% and improved the conductive structure in the high-frequency range. Although these changes make the manufacturing and processing of this dynamic driver more challenging, they increase conversion efficiency and significantly improve sensitivity in the upper high-frequency range.

This advancement not only meets our research and development requirements but also results in objectively superior measurement values, leading to a smooth, transparent high-frequency range with improved extension and excellent resolution.

In addition, the 10-mm dynamic driver responsible for the bass frequencies has also been improved. The newly tuned suspension made of rigid silicone is matched to the liquid crystal dome diaphragm and features a voice coil with an ultra-thin wire diameter, creating an entirely new bass tuning system.

This system utilizes a low-distortion crossover design, similar to that of the ZERO:RED, resulting in significantly improved objective measurement values, such as lower nonlinear distortion compared to the original ZERO. As a result, users can expect deeper and more powerful bass reproduction.

Hybrid Multi-Frequency Crossover

Truthear has redesigned the cavity structure and low-distortion crossover based on valuable experience and user feedback from previous models featuring two dynamic drivers. This redesign aims to improve the conversion efficiency of the dynamic drivers while allowing each driver to fulfill its respective role. As a result, Truthear has significantly improved sensitivity. The filtered nozzle, precisely printed by HeyGears using high-precision 3D DLP technology, works in conjunction with a mixed multi-frequency crossover to bring the ZERO:BLUE2’s objective measurement values closer to the intended design goals.

Outstanding objective measurements

The research and development goal of the ZERO:BLUE2 represents a departure from previous TRUTHEAR products. The aim is to increase overall conversion efficiency while maintaining excellent performance in both linear and nonlinear distortion.

Nonlinear distortion: The ZERO:BLUE2 not only meets Truthear’s R&D goals but even outperforms the RED in certain frequency ranges regarding nonlinear distortion. It delivers a clean background and effectively restores details, enabling precise reproduction of the musical sound.

Linear distortion: The frequency response curve targeted by the ZERO:BLUE2 is designed to better match the audience’s preferences. We have optimized reproduction in the low-bass range (below 50 Hz) through various measures, ensuring a smoother transition into the mid-frequency range. The high frequencies are closely matched to the amplitude response characteristics of HRTF, maintaining high sensitivity above 10,000 Hz.

These improvements have significantly optimized ZERO:BLUE2 compared to the performance metrics of ZERO. In terms of the subjective listening experience, it offers a more dynamic and lively sound than RED, with excellent conversion efficiency in the high-frequency range that reveals the subtle details in recording and mixing processes.

Furthermore, ZERO:BLUE2 features extremely consistent phase characteristics across the entire frequency range, effectively eliminating the unnatural listening experience often caused by phase distortion.

Optimized DLP 3D Printing Materials

The shell of the ZERO:BLUE2 continues to benefit from the high-quality 3D DLP services of the trusted brand HeyGears. The new model retains the design of the original ZERO but features a redesigned front panel that offers users a fresh visual experience. Thanks to the optimized DLP 3D-printed resin material, Truthear has succeeded in reducing the local material thickness inside the housing while maintaining impressive structural durability. Furthermore, Truthear has optimized the nozzle size and adjusted the support angles, thereby improving the overall comfort of the ZERO:BLUE2. The result is a lightweight and skin-friendly housing that is better suited for long-term use.

Further-improved standard cable

The ZERO:BLUE2 features a 0.78 mm 2-pin design and comes with an improved, two-strand, high-quality, silver-plated copper coaxial cable. The number of internal strands has been further increased, which improves sound performance and provides a tangle-free experience.
