A classic, reinterpreted, finely tuned optimal energy distribution
The RSV-MKII builds on the proven foundation of the original RSV without changing the driver configuration, but refines the sound through precise impedance adjustments in the low, mid, and high frequency ranges. This optimization carefully redistributes the energy, resulting in deeper and more powerful bass, improved accuracy and clarity in the midrange, and smoother, more refined highs. This is not just a simple refresh, but a genuine improvement on Softears' classic tuning.

Improved crossover component architecture
The RSV-MKII features Softears' exclusive LRC tuning network with a 4-tube 4-way crossover with seven precision components for improved sound balance and accuracy. The improved dual-tube bass design eliminates the metallic, tinny sound often associated with BA drivers, improves acoustic consistency throughout the sound path, and achieves greater coherence across the entire frequency spectrum.

Low-frequency driver, long stroke, and powerful effect
The low-frequency range is based on two Knowles CI22955 balanced armature drivers—the largest BA models currently used in the mainstream sector. Since their introduction in 1982, they have been considered “living fossils” in the industry. They feature a long-throw diaphragm and a central guide pin that minimizes vibration separation, enabling powerful bass with a strong atmospheric presence.

Midrange driver with fine voice reproduction and precise imaging
In the midrange, the improved ED driver, first introduced in 1988, provides Softears' characteristic voice texture with smooth cohesion, precise imaging, and lifelike tonality that captures emotional details without graininess. Voices are reproduced with moderate distance, natural clarity, and a unique sound character that enhances the overall presentation.

High-frequency driver with clear sound and high resolution
In the upper range, an SWFK composite driver produces clear highs with excellent resolution and naturally reproduces instrumental sounds and complex layers of sound, while preventing fatigue even during longer listening sessions.

Dual pressure relief, air pressure equalization system
To ensure long-term wearability, the RSV-MKII incorporates Softears' patented passive air damping system (patent no.: CN202122764459.7), which was adopted from the flagship RS10 and improves frequency response, enhances bass structure, and reduces pressure during listening. For the first time in Softears' full BA models, an acoustic simulation-optimized air pressure relief system is also used, which dynamically balances the pressure in the ear canal, further reducing fatigue. Combined with the precise 3D-printed cavity and non-slip lip nozzle design, the earphones provide a stable fit, improved sealing, and comfort even during long listening sessions.

Craftsmanship paired with aesthetic totem design
The RSV-MKII is not only about pure sound, but also about sophisticated aesthetics. Each front plate undergoes multiple stages of precise CNC machining and features a fine anodized matte finish and a distinctive V-shaped groove in the center. This groove is inlaid with irregular, multi-layered cast carbon fiber, which has been precisely embedded using CNC engraving to create visual depth and uniqueness. The top shell bears the subtle RS emblem, which is double anodized to highlight Softears' design identity and combine durability with understated elegance.

Pure copper cable for cleaner transmission
The included pure copper cable is made of high-purity 6N oxygen-free copper stranded cable with a 19-core reverse twist structure to reduce resistance, minimize signal loss, and ensure even current distribution. Multiple cryogenic treatments refine the crystal structure of the conductor, lowering background noise and improving micro-detail reproduction, resulting in clearer highs, fuller mids and lows, and a more expansive soundstage. The universal 0.78 mm 2-pin connector allows the cable to be replaced, while the nickel-free, gold-plated 4.4 mm balanced connector, combined with a 4.4 to 3.5 mm adapter, guarantees excellent conductivity, corrosion resistance, and compatibility with popular devices.

UC and Type B ear tips for versatile listening pleasure
Two sets of ear tips are included for flexible tuning. UC ear tips offer soft comfort, improved sealing, and solid reproduction of low frequencies with clear highs. Type-B ear tips, which are used as the standard reference in Softears' research and development process, deliver balanced sound and are particularly suitable for earphones with slightly larger nozzles.
