Product information "Kiwi Ears Etude"
Hybrid in-ear headphones
- 1 beryllium-coated dynamic driver
- 3 specially tuned balanced armatures
- Innovative Kiwi Vibration Transducer (KVT) for deep controlled bass
Precise tuning
The Étude has been expertly tuned for sound balance, offering rich but controlled bass, neutral mids and smooth, resonant highs. Kiwi Ears has carefully developed the Étude to achieve an ideal sound balance that offers both precision and musicality. The sub-bass has been boosted by 8 dB - strong enough to add depth without overpowering clarity. A 250 Hz crossover ensures that the midrange remains flat and neutral, preserving the natural character of voices and instruments without coloration. The treble is finely tuned for comfort and resonance, rounding off the refined and balanced sound character of the Étude.
Beryllium cone subwoofer
The Étude features a 10 mm driver with beryllium-coated cone that delivers fast, accurate bass with rich depth and powerful impact. At the heart of the Étude's low-end performance is a 10mm dynamic driver with a beryllium-coated cone, designed specifically for use as a subwoofer. This driver produces incredibly accurate kick drum attacks and full-bodied bass guitar sounds with speed and control. Combined with the KVT vibration transducer, the bass is given a deep rumble and three-dimensional imaging, providing an immersive and tactile listening experience that brings the low frequencies to life.
Specially designed balanced armature drivers
The Étude features specially designed Kiwi Ears balanced armature drivers that deliver clear mids and ultra-high frequency detail with seamless transitions. Equipped with in-house developed balanced armature drivers, the Étude delivers precise and dynamic sound reproduction. A single high-efficiency midrange driver provides powerful and distortion-free fundamentals, making vocals and instruments sound full and precise. This is complemented by a dual ultra-high frequency tweeter that brings out fine micro-details and airy textures in the music. Together, these drivers produce a natural and coherent sound across the entire frequency range with smooth transitions and exceptional clarity.
Innovative Kiwi Vibration Transducer
The Kiwi Ears Étude features the KVT, a unique, in-house developed vibration transducer that enhances the acoustics in the lower mid-range through tactile vibrations. The KVT (Kiwi Vibration Transducer) in the Étude is a breakthrough in vibration technology. Unlike conventional bone conduction drivers, the KVT works in a similar way to miniature vibration drivers in Bluetooth speakers. It utilizes powerful N52 neodymium magnets suspended by high-voltage spring systems that physically vibrate a conductive plate when actuated by an electric current. This innovative technology delivers tactile vibrations that add depth to the low mids and add a physical dimension to the overall sound experience.
