Dynamic 10 mm driver subwoofer
At the heart of the Astral is a proprietary 10mm dynamic bioceramic cone driver. This specially developed driver provides excellent low bass that transitions seamlessly into rich bass. With a carefully tuned bass response and a smooth roll-off at 300 Hz, it seamlessly bridges the gap between the bass and midrange frequencies for a natural, dynamic performance.
6 balanced armature drivers for precision
In addition to the dynamic driver, the Astral has two balanced armature drivers for the midrange and a double ultra-tweeter. These Kiwi Ears in-house developed midrange drivers deliver a neutral sound profile for vocals and instruments, enhanced by a precisely compensated ear cup curvature at 2.8 kHz. The tweeter, adapted from the renowned SWFK design, gently extends the high frequency response, providing a smooth and natural high frequency without any harshness.
Kiwi Ears sound characteristics
The Astral redefines Kiwi Ears' sonic profile with its unmistakable sound signature. Equipped with a powerful 9dB sub-bass shelf, it transitions gracefully into the low-mid range, with a cutoff at 300Hz that allows for a natural bass rolloff. This design maintains a flat, neutral midrange that blends perfectly with the bass. In addition, the carefully sculpted treble peaks at 2.8kHz and falls away smoothly to 15kHz, adding sparkle, airiness and an overall stage presence to the listening experience.
