Sapphire-coated composite diaphragm

Silence in every detail

The EH13 features a special driver diaphragm design that combines a sapphire-coated dome with a PEEK+PU composite surround.

The dome is coated with sapphire—a material whose hardness is surpassed only by diamond. Its high modulus of elasticity of 400 GPa significantly increases the stiffness of the diaphragm and effectively suppresses distortion during rapid vibrations. This reduces distortion by 30% and ensures fine, detailed highs. Precision embossing further improves transient response and minimizes distortion, while the diaphragm withstands the negative pressure during noise cancellation, extending its lifespan.

The PEEK+PU composite surround provides robust support for the rest of the driver diaphragm. It improves bass response and quantity, thereby also optimizing the noise cancellation effect* for a deeper sense of silence.

*The principle of noise cancellation is that the driver emits sound waves in opposite phase to the ambient noise in order to cancel it out. The sound pressure level (SPL) of the driver in the low frequency range is crucial for the effectiveness of ANC.

The EH13 uses a hybrid dual microphone system (feedforward + feedback) powered by a powerful chip and precise algorithms. This allows the driver to precisely filter out ambient noise while preserving every detail of your music, achieving maximum noise reduction of -42 dB*. It effectively neutralizes low-frequency noise from airplanes and trains.

LDAC support

Dual Hi-Res Audio certified

The EH13 supports the high-resolution LDAC Bluetooth codec*. With transfer rates of up to 990 kbps—about three times that of standard SBC/AAC codecs—LDAC provides a wider frequency response and a wealth of musical detail.

The EH13 has both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, meaning its sound quality is recognized by leading global audio associations.

*Requires a compatible source device (smartphone/player) that supports LDAC transmission.

LDAC transmits more information, which may result in slightly higher power consumption. LDAC is enabled by default but can be disabled in the FIIO Control app to extend battery life.
