Designed according to the philosophy “Hide rhythm in the form, hide sound in the core,” the ICEBORNE is far more than just a typical portable DAC/amplifier that lists technical specifications.

It is the world’s first portable DAC/amplifier that is entirely handcrafted from 3D-printed resin material. AFUL has chosen a beautiful Suzhou garden window lattice design with a skin-friendly paint finish from Germany for a smooth, solid surface.

The ICEBORNE is designed to be free from overheating and sudden electric shocks, which are common in DAC/amps with standard metal casings.

AFUL has equipped the ICEBORNE with two CS43198 DAC chips, which offer high-resolution 32-bit/768 kHz PCM and native DSD256 audio signal processing.

With 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs, the ICEBORNE is compatible with most IEMs and headphones on the market.

The device features a powerful output of up to 300 mW per channel at a 16 Ω impedance load.

With advanced USB algorithms and a high-purity USB Type-C to Type-C connection cable, the ICEBORNE promises true lossless USB processing, ensuring high-fidelity audio performance for the listener.


The world’s first 3D-printed resin DAC/AMP

The AFUL ICEBORNE breaks away from the traditional, cold metal enclosures common in other portable DAC/AMPs and features a precision-crafted housing made of 3D-printed resin. The DAC/AMP is entirely handcrafted and offers a clean, high-quality finish. Each housing is manually assembled and then finely polished using four different grits of sandpaper. Every unit is sealed with a high-quality, skin-friendly lacquer from Germany, which gives the ICEBORNE a silky-smooth feel. Thanks to its resin housing, the AFUL ICEBORNE runs cool without the device heating up.


High-Performance Dual DAC Chipset

The AFUL ICEBORNE features a high-quality dual DAC chipset with two Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips. This 32-bit DAC configuration supports advanced high-resolution audio signal processing and offers support for 32-bit/768 kHz as well as native DSD256 audio signals with an impressive THD+N of less than 0.00037%. The ICEBORNE utilizes an advanced dual-core tuning process with stepwise suppression of current ripple, precise segmentation of ground loops, and manual calibration of thermal noise. This results in an incredibly low noise level of just 1 μV at the 3.5mm output and 1.5 μV at the balanced 4.4mm connector, ensuring that even with highly sensitive electrostatic IEMs, you hear nothing but pure, unadulterated music.


Lossless USB Data Transmission Technology

To address packet loss, jitter, and latency that often plague conventional USB DACs/amplifiers, AFUL has comprehensively optimized the ICEBORNE’s hardware buffers and clock synchronization protocols. This next-generation USB transmission architecture significantly reduces data packet loss and latency, elevating signal quality to a level that can compete with dedicated optical or coaxial connections. Together with the included high-quality 6N single-crystal silver-plated copper Type-C cable, high-frequency resolution is noticeably improved, and the entire soundstage gains depth and width.
