The 6th generation Nutube manufactured by KORG and Noritake works exactly like a conventional triode vacuum tube and produces the same characteristic sound with rich overtones that you look for in triode tubes. At the same time, the Nutube achieves significant power savings, miniaturisation and quality improvements compared to many conventional tubes. The Nutube achieves a voltage gain that results in a captivating and distinctive tube sound while maintaining exceptional linearity.
Six batteries for an efficient and pure power supply
The iBasso PB5 utilises 6 batteries to create a robust power supply system. The Nutubes are powered by two batteries, while the other 4 batteries are used to power the secondary amplifier. With this efficient and pure power supply, you will experience a very immersive and crystal clear sound.
Attenuation with 24 positions
Extremely small 24-position, 4-stage attenuator. Optimum analogue volume control improves the ability to bring out the distinctive analogue characteristics of the tube amplifier. The channel imbalance is within a range of less than +/-0.1dB. When adjusting the volume, the background noise is attenuated at the same time.
Outstanding power output 1700mW+1700mW@32ohm drive power
With the 6-battery setup and transistor current amplifier, the iBasso PB5 delivers up to 1700mW + 1700mW@32ohm.
Two-stage suspension & cathode input To minimise microphony and interference
The two-stage suspension absorbs vibrations mechanically and minimises the microphonic effect. The cathode input reduces impedance, resulting in less signal interference from external sources.
State-of-the-art parts For the ultimate analogue sound - 24-stage attenuator with 4 sections and a channel tolerance of less than +/-0.1dB.

A tube AMP for MAX users - The iBasso PB5 can handle a line input voltage of up to 2.5 volts
If the voltage is higher than this, distortion will occur. When using the line output of the DX220MAX, DX300MAX or DX320MAX with the PB5, please do not use the highest gain setting.
