The Arete returns with improvements
The original Arete was popular worldwide and sold tens of thousands of units thanks to its brilliant tuning and performance. The Arete II brings back the aspects that fans loved, with improved tuning, superior build quality, and a new subwoofer.
Improved texture and tuning
The Arete II uses a dynamic driver with a second-generation composite diaphragm for stronger and deeper bass response in the sub-bass range. Thanks to a more precise crossover, bass response is fuller and heavier in the low end, while ensuring better transitions in the lower midrange and midrange. The high-frequency range has also been improved, with a larger ultra-high-frequency output for more extension and air in the headroom.
Second-generation subwoofer
The Arete II features a new 10 mm diaphragm with liquid silicone suspension, specifically designed for subwoofer-like performance. With a more fluid diaphragm structure and a stronger neodymium magnet array, the lows resonate deeper and produce excellent rumble while maintaining precise punches.
Four balanced armature drivers
Two Knowles ED 29689 drivers deliver authentic and precise midrange sound. Proven for over two decades, the ED 29689 is one of the most reliable balanced armature drivers on the market, featuring excellent midrange texture and precise ear cup compensation. The mids are slightly boosted on the Arete II to achieve a richer texture for vocals and instruments, and the transition from mids to highs is clearer thanks to a more precise 3 kHz peak.
The highs are driven by Knowles SWFK 31736 dual tweeters, which have also proven themselves over the past decade. With a wider tube and improved driver placement, the Arete II offers greater ultra-high extension and a more airy atmosphere in the sound. The Arete II earphones feature a small switch on the ear cup. When turned on, it boosts the bass and lower mids, making the sound more suitable for various gaming scenarios.
Full metal construction
The Arete II has been redesigned with a full aluminum housing. Each unit is individually CNC-milled from solid blocks of aerospace-grade aluminum to ensure precision in every corner. The housings are then hardened and finished by hand before surface treatment. The front plates are also made of aluminum, giving the Arete II durability and a high-quality feel.
Individually replaceable cable
The Arete II comes standard with a replaceable 0.78 mm 2-pin cable made of high-purity, silver-plated, oxygen-free copper, equipped with both a 3.5 mm single-ended and a 4.4 mm balanced modular plug. The cable is designed for clean, noise-free signal transmission, increases durability, and allows users to customize their listening experience.
