THIEAUDIO is pleased to announce a new range of next generation IEM's: Hype (Hybrid Performance) Since Thieaudio's journey into the world of Hi-Fi audio, much has been achieved and they have grown with each project. With each new launch, they have learnt how to develop better sounding audio solutions and how to develop and use new types of drivers. All this acquired knowledge has been summarised in the new Hype series. As the name suggests, the Hype Series will integrate multiple transducer types that best demonstrate innovation in the field to create new IEMs that are both technically and sonically superior.
The introduction of IMPACT²
The IMPACT2 ("Impact Squared") is the latest technological innovation from THIEAUDIO that will change the personalised audio industry. IMPACT2 is a new subwoofer solution consisting of two isobaric 10 mm composite cone drivers. The addition of another 10 mm subwoofer significantly improves the power and texture of the bass, while the proprietary isobaric chamber design keeps the frequency and pressure constant. This means you can enjoy better bass quality without compromising the sound.
Sonion drivers of the latest generation
The Hype 4 features the latest generation of Sonion drivers that Thiaudio has developed specifically for the Hype 4. The Sonion E50 Series "Hummingbird" is a dual ultra-tweeter with balanced armature that has the best technical specifications of any tweeter Sonion has ever offered. With excellent ultra-high frequency extension to rival EST or planar drivers, reduced driver vibration and harmonic distortion at higher power levels, the E50 Series is one of the most robust tweeters tested and used to date. Thieaudio has also selected Sonion's updated 26A Series driver for the midrange. The dual stacking of this driver provides an excellent power to THD ratio, meaning you'll notice a higher perceived audio resolution, texture and layering in the mids and highs. The implementation of the 26A driver provides excellent tonal balance, especially in the fundamental mids as well as the lower highs, with a near perfect match of the Thieaudio target curves. The combination of the 26A with the E50 series drivers is one of the most exciting and efficient balanced armature applications Thiaudio has developed to date.

Based on its predecessors, the Hype 4 had to have a tonal signature that represents nothing less than perfection. Based on the blueprint of the Monarch MKII, Clairvoyance and Oracle, the Hype 4 offers Thiaudio's most successful tonal balance. With a strong sub-bass presence that cuts off precisely at 200Hz, a superbly flat midrange, near-perfect ear-cup curvature at 3kHz and a mild, gradual decay to 20kHz, the Hype 4 is the perfect studio setup for your ears. Discerning listeners will appreciate the clean separation of bass and midrange, which allows sub-bass to be reproduced even more accurately, while the mids remain neutral and as intended by the studio engineers.
