Hype (Hybrid Performance)
Since Thieaudio's journey into the world of hi-fi audio, much has been achieved and they have grown with each project. With each new launch, they have learnt how to develop better sounding audio solutions and how to develop and use new types of drivers. All this acquired knowledge has been summarised in the new Hype series. As the name suggests, the Hype Series will integrate multiple transducer types that best demonstrate innovation in the field to create new IEMs that are both technically and sonically superior.
The introduction of IMPACT²
The IMPACT2 ("Impact Squared") is THIEAUDIO's latest technological innovation that will change the personalised audio industry. IMPACT2 is a new subwoofer solution consisting of two isobaric 10 mm composite cone drivers. The addition of another 10mm subwoofer significantly improves the power and texture of the bass, while the proprietary isobaric chamber design keeps the frequency and pressure constant. This means you can enjoy better bass quality without compromising the sound.
High-performance import balanced armature drivers
The Thieaudio Hype 10 uses genuine Knowles SWFK 31736 series ultra-tweeters from the USA as well as two Sonion E50DT midrange drivers and two Sonion 28UAP woofers from Denmark. The Hype 10 is arranged in a 4-way crossover with 4 independent sound ports and utilises best-in-class drivers designed with the highest precision for faithful audio reproduction. The ultra-tweeters allow treble extension up to 40 kHz, creating an airy and hyper-realistic atmosphere in the sound image. In addition, the combination of the E50DT with the SWFK 31736 driver creates a perfect transition and cohesion in the mids and highs, with clear detail, articulation and layering. The 28UAP series was chosen due to its success in the new Signature Series models. The bass of a dual 28UAP driver configuration produces extremely fast bass attack and decay, which combines with the deep and textured sub-bass of the IMPACT2 system. The combination of these 10 drivers in each ear produces a high-resolution sound that is modelled on professional audiophile speakers.
Developed for music-loving audiophiles
The Hype 10 has been designed from the ground up specifically for music enthusiasts and audiophiles who want an immersive and sophisticated sound. With a strong sub-bass range and articulate treble, the Hype 10 brings out the deep rumble and sparkling details in your music. With a bass range of almost 10 dB, the Hype 10 pushes hard into the low end. However, in typical THIEAUDIO fashion, the bass has been retained up to 300 Hz to avoid unnatural contamination of the overall tonal balance. The mids from 300Hz to 1kHz are flat to emphasise the natural tonality of instruments and voices. The treble has been tuned in line with the bass to add a little more crispness and clarity to the overall sound signature.
Special audiophile cable
The Thieaudio Hype 10 is supplied as standard with a high-quality, silver-plated OCC cable. This upgrade in cable materials provides a little more clarity and refinement compared to Thieaudio's previous generation cables.
