Three drivers in total: one dynamic + two balanced armature drivers

The JH13 features a custom-made 10 mm dynamic driver that produces rich, powerful, and deep bass. This is combined with custom-made dual balanced armature (BA) drivers that significantly improve the resolution of the highs and provide a refreshing feeling of airiness. The dynamic and BA drivers work together via a specially designed crossover. The result is a clear, detailed, and precise sound that offers twice the sound layering compared to purely dynamic headphones—immediately enhancing your listening experience!

Asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuits

Lightning-fast responsiveness

The JH13 features an asymmetrical internal and external dual magnetic circuit system, as found in the FIIO FT3, which uses the finite element method (FEM) to effectively increase the magnetic field density in the voice coil gap. With a sensitivity of 110 dB/mW, the headphones are easy to drive and deliver excellent audio quality even from portable devices such as smartphones and dongle DACs. This high efficiency ensures seamless and smooth integration with the highly sensitive balanced armature units, resulting in coherent and natural sound reproduction. In addition, the quick response to current audio signal changes ensures that instruments and drum beats are reproduced with excellent clarity and impact.

CCAW voice coil

Lightweight yet powerful

The JH13's dynamic driver is based on a powerful CCAW (copper-clad aluminum wire) voice coil from Japan's Daikoku Corporation. The wire core has a diameter of only 0.033 mm—as thin as a strand of hair. The lighter aluminum coil reduces the mass of the driver's moving system compared to pure copper, resulting in faster transient response. The result is clearer and more transparent highs with rich detail, with percussion instruments and drums sounding particularly crisp and punchy.

Visually appealing wood

The front plates of the headphones are made of genuine zebrawood. The naturally formed, interwoven light and dark stripes of the wood exude a pleasant vintage feel. In addition, the wood offers excellent strength and structural stability, making it reliable and durable.

The carefully crafted JH13 headphones achieve an extremely balanced sound by perfectly integrating different driver types through precise physical acoustic and electronic crossover design. This brings out the full potential of both the deep bass of a dynamic driver and the detailed resolution of balanced armature drivers. When reproducing instruments such as flutes, cymbals, and guitars, the airiness and rich overtones in the high frequencies are preserved, while at the same time reducing the sibilance of vocals, resulting in an appealing, fatigue-free sound that is suitable for all types of music.

Ergonomic around-the-ear design

The specially designed around-the-ear design ensures that the earphones fit securely in the ear canal and distributes pressure for a stable and comfortable fit. The cable follows the contour of your ear, reducing movement and friction, effectively eliminating the microphonic effects common with many in-ear headphones for a purer and clearer sound.

The earphones feature a high-quality cable made of high-purity oxygen-free copper (OFC), consisting of 120 wires in a total of four strands. Thanks to the detachable cable design, you can freely connect the headphones to various audio devices. This cable, with a 3.5 mm plug on one end and 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors on the other, features a protective, shielded design that protects the delicate 0.78 mm pins and ensures a more secure connection between the cable and the earphones.
