Mokume Gane Inspired Faceplates

Like metamorphic rock transformed from igneous origins, the serpentine, layered pattern of the mokume gane inspired faceplates marks a new aesthetic direction for DUNU.

Cnc Machined Aluminum Shells

Ergonomically shaped for a wide variety of ear shapes and sizes, VULKAN’s aluminum alloy shells are precision-machined for a perfect fit.

An All-new Architecture

For VULKAN, we went back to the drawing board to engineer an entirely new acoustic setup. 3D printed acoustic waveguide and mounting bracket enhance mounting stability and coherence of imaging. The acoustic conduits were also optimized via virtual design tools.

Advanced Six-driver Hybrid Configuration

Over the years, DUNU has got expertise in designing high-quality hybrid configurations for in-ear monitors. For the latest Vulkan, they have designed an arrangement consisting of an 8 mm Structural Foam Cell Dome with Soft Independent Surround dynamic driver, an 8 mm Nanocrystalline Titanium-Coated Diaphragm dynamic driver with four high-performance Balanced armature drivers from Knowles. These drivers are professionally tuned and arranged in such a manner to reduce the Harmonic Distortion in the output signal, allowing the driver to behave like a natural woofer, with deep bass reproduction and dynamics, reproduce lower midrange frequencies with stellar linearity and quality transient response and a smooth, detailed ultra-high frequency response.

Acis Low Frequency Control

Our exclusive, labyrinthine Air Control Impedance System (ACIS) helps reinforce the response of a dynamic driver’s lowest registers without hampering speed or stymying texture.
